STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC looks to carry momentum from its 3-2 comeback win versus Greenville Triumph SC into Saturday as they take on the Richmond Kickers. The match will kick off at 8 p.m. ET from Erk Russell Park, and Tormenta looks to turn its road win into a streak and keep itself in the playoff race.

Tormenta FC and Richmond have an even head-to-head record of 2-2-2 (W-L-D) since the inaugural USL League One season in 2019. Marco Micaletto is the only current Tormenta player to have scored against the Kickers and has notched a total of two goals against them.

On May 8, Tormenta FC traveled to Virginia where Richmond came away with a 2-0 win and clean sheet at City Stadium. Tormenta held the majority of the possession and recorded 13 shots but was unable to convert their chances.

The Statesboro side was last in action against reigning USL League One champions Greenville Triumph SC on July 17. After starting out the match down 2-0, Tormenta FC scored three goals in 18 minutes to come back with a 3-2 road win for their first victory at Early Legacy College. Goals were scored by Marco Micaletto, Luca Mayr-Fälten and Stefan Mueller.

After Saturday's matchup, Tormenta FC has a tough three-match road stretch against New England Revolution II, Greenville Triumph SC and Forward Madison FC before heading home to host New England on Saturday, August 21 for the Back to School Bash.
