STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC hosts North Texas SC on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m. for a match with big implications at Erk Russell Park. Starting this Saturday, Tormenta FC looks to collect points with consecutive wins throughout its remaining six matches.

Last weekend, Tormenta FC pulled out a draw on the road versus New England Revolution II with an equalizer goal from Azaad Liadi off a well-planned corner kick. This was Liadi's fourth goal of the season and third in the last two matches as he continues his scoring streak.

In three seasons of USL League One play, Tormenta FC has never defeated North Texas SC, and the Statesboro side looks forward to the challenge this Saturday. The Tormenta squad will need to keep its emotions in check and be wary of North Texas' dangerous front three and depth on the bench. On North Texas's roster, Tormenta FC will see a familiar face, Thibaut Jacquel, who trialed with the team in 2020 and has now scored four goals for the Texas side.

Tormenta FC will then travel down to Florida to face Fort Lauderdale CF on Sunday, Sept. 19, exactly one year after defeating them 2-1 at Drive Pink Stadium. With just one home match left in the 2021 season, fans can now purchase their 2022 Season Memberships+ which include all USL League One, League Two and W League home matches. Don't miss a match next season at the new Tormenta Stadium!
