MASL Newcomer of the Year Nominee, Blas Pérez, Re-Signs with Sidekicks

Allen, Texas - The Dallas Sidekicks have announced that MASL Newcomer of Year Nominee, Blas Pérez is re-signing with the club. This will mark Pérez's second season with the Dallas Sidekicks. Per team and league guidelines, additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Despite becoming a professional soccer player in 1998 with Panamá Viejo, the 2022-23 MASL season marked Perez's first season playing indoor soccer and he had a standout rookie season.
Pérez made his indoor soccer debut on December 10th against the Chihuahua Savage and scored two goals that night. In the February 16th game against the San Diego Sockers, Pérez scored his first hat trick of his indoor career. After that, Pérez was on a scoring streak scoring at least one goal for the next two games.
One of his most notable games this past season was on March 19th against the Milwaukee Wave where he scored two goals and had two assists. Even though, Pérez only played in 9 games, he still made an incredible impact on the team scoring 11 goals and 5 assists. With his breakout season, Pérez was a nominee for the 2022-2023 MASL Newcomer of the Year
"I'm excited to get back on the field and represent my country once again. One of my goals this season is to qualify for playoffs," said Pérez.
