Danville, IL - The Danville Dashers are pleased to announce that Mary Kay Montroy will perform the National Anthem pre-game on Sunday, November 22nd vs. Dayton Demolition. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m.
Mary Kay is an accomplished singer, actress, and modeling expert. A former Miss Teen Illinois, she sang alongside many notable Gospel performers doing broadcast music ministry in the Virgin Islands. Under the stage name Ashley Vaun, she has recorded two studio albums and toured the U.S.
Moving to Nashville in 2013, Mary Kay has graced numerous magazine and billboard ads. Last season she also appeared in several episodes of the hit series "Nashville." Mary Kay is a long time hockey fan, dating back to her years in Moline watching the Quad City Mallards. She was regularly featured singing the National Anthem at the Pensacola Ice Flyers' home games during their two consecutive championship seasons.
