
Martz Sent To Vegas To Complete Trade

LONG BEACH, Calif. â The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that left wing Nathan Martz has been traded to the Las Vegas Wranglers to complete the future consideration portion of the trade made for goaltender Sebastien Centomo. The trade was made back on March 18th, which also sent the rights for goaltender Chris Madden to Las Vegas.
Martz had an impressive rookie season, posting 16 goals and 35 assists in 67 games played. He finished tied for first on the team with a +34 during the regular season. In the playoffs he played in six games, tallying one assist and a +1.
Centomo, who is property of the NHL's Calgary Flames, played in nine regular season games in goal for Long Beach, going 6-1-1 with a 2.22 goals against average, a .932 save percentage, and one shutout. In the playoffs, he started six games going 3-3 with a 2.06 goals against average and a .930 save percentage. He helped the Ice Dogs defeat the defending Kelly Cup champion Idaho Steelheads in the opening round of the playoffs, three games to one.
