Wranglers Announce Future Considerations

Las Vegas, NV. – Las Vegas Wranglers announced the future considerations to finalize trades from the 2004-05 season. Las Vegas acquired the rights to Alaska left wing Charles Linglet (Ling-Lay), Florida forward Keith Anderson, Long Beach center Nathan Martz, and Trenton Titans' defenseman Steve Munn.

Left Wing Charles Linglet was acquired as the future consideration on March 22nd, in a trade that sent Wranglers defenseman Ryan Gaucher to the Alaska Aces for forward Jordan Cameron and Linglet. The 22-year old left wing helped the Aces win the West Division and contributed in a trip to the Conference Finals this past season. Linglet was third on the team in scoring behind Scott Gomez and Chris Minard. The Montreal native posted career-highs for goals (28) and points (62) in 72 games played. Linglet finished second on the team with 13 power-play goals. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound left wing represented Alaska as a rookie in the 2004 ECHL All Star Game. For his career, Linglet has scored 48 goals and added 69 assists for 117 points in 141 games played. Linglet had a strong playoff performance this season, leading the Aces in scoring with six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 15 games played. Linglet has 23 points (8G-15A) in 22 career playoff games.

Defenseman Steve Munn was acquired from the Augusta Lynx as the final future consideration. The trade on February 23rd involved the Wranglers sending winger Doug Wright and defenseman Regan Darby to Augusta in exchange for center Matt Dzieduszycki, winger Matt Schmidt and Munn. Prior to the trade deadline, Munn was traded to the Trenton Titans from Augusta, but his rights revert back to Las Vegas for the 2005-06 season. Munn recently helped Trenton capture the 2005 Kelly Cup. Munn has won the Kelly Cup twice in the last three years (Atlantic City in 2003 and Trenton in 2005). The fourth-year blueliner has four goals and 26 assists for 30 points in 180 career games. The rugged 26-year old also has 406 career penalty minutes. Munn posted an impressive +12 rating in his final 15 games of the season, all with Trenton.

Forward Nathan Martz joins Las Vegas to complete a trade that sent goalie Sebastien Centomo to Long Beach in exchange for the rights to goalie Chris Madden and Nathan Martz on March 18th. Martz helped Long Beach with a 44-point turnaround from the team's 51 points in 2003-04. The 24-year old posted 16 goals and 35 assists for 51 points in 67 games played. Martz's +34 finished tied for second best in the ECHL and tied for the ECHL rookie lead. Martz played his college career at the University of New Hampshire, helping the Wildcats to the Frozen Four Final in 2003. Martz earned the Warren B. Brown Trophy at UNH in 2004, an award presented to the team's best defensive forward.

On March 22nd Las Vegas traded the rights for goalie Chris Madden to the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations. Monday center Keith Anderson was named as the future consideration. Anderson helped Florida appear in the last two Kelly Cup Finals (2004, 2005). The fifth-year center has 56 goals and 81 assists for 137 points in 238 career games. Anderson scored four goals and four assists for eight points in 15 playoff games this season. The Thief River Falls, MN native posted his best season during the 2003-04 season with 18 goals and 33 assists for 51 points in 55 games played.
