FRISCO, Texas - Five players collected multiple hits for the Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, but the Corpus Christi Hooks used a cluster of early runs to win 9-3 Saturday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS
The Hooks scored four runs in the first inning and added three more in the second against Riders starter Pedro Payano.
The Riders got on the board with an RBI double from Luis Marte in the fourth and plated two more runs in the sixth thanks to RBIs from Hunter Cole and Chuck Moorman.
Five Riders hitters finished the night with multi-hit games: Marte, Cole, Eliezer Alvarez, Michael De Leon and Michael O'Neill.
Rangers rehabber Delino Deshields drew a pair of walks in his three plate appearances.

NEWS AND NOTES
The five multi-hit performances are a single-game high for the Riders this year.
Cole extended his on-base streak to 11 games with a pair of trips aboard Saturday night.
Cole also collected a pair of outfield assists, the second night in a row the Riders had two outfield assists.
