Marlies Drop Bulldogs 2-1

Toronto Marlies News Release


The Toronto Marlies defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, by a score of 2-1 this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.

T.J. Brennan's league leading eighth goal of the season opened the scoring on a powerplay at 8:29 of the first period. Carter Ashton's first goal of the year gave the Marlies a 2-0 lead at 5:30 of the middle frame. The Bulldogs cut the lead in half at 2:08 of the third period on Mike Blunden's second goal of the season.

The Marlies return to the ice on Wednesday, October 23 for a 7 p.m. home game against the Rockford IceHogs, AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
