Owen Sound Attack News Release
Owen Sound Attack defenseman Mark Woolley has been named the Huron Tractor 'Attacker of the Week' for his performance on on the Eastern Conference road trip.
Attack head coach Alan Letang praised his play: "Whenever Mark plays a heavy game, the team benefits. It gives our boys energy, it motivates them, and it makes the other team uncomfortable with the puck."
Attack assistant coach Jordan Hill added: "His defensive work this weekend was excellent. He's a shutdown guy for us, and in the past couple games he's added some offense too. He's not afraid to put pucks towards the net and he got rewarded for it. His puck movement was fantastic."
The 18-year-old blueliner from St. Thomas, Ont scored his first goal as a member of the Owen Sound Attack on Sunday afternoon against Ottawa.
This season, Woolley has scored once and added eight assists in 32 games while recording a +8 rating. Mark also started his own foundation, Woolley's Warriors, which aims to conquer diabetes with support and awareness.
Mark Woolley and the Owen Sound Attack take on the Barrie Colts tomorrow night at the Bayshore. Tickets are available online and at the MacVicar & McComb Sutton Realty Attack Box Office.
