Marco Trevino Named Assistant Coach

KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm has named Marco Trevino an Assistant Coach ahead of tomorrow's Home Opener at the Viaero Center. Trevino has assisted the Storm with scouting and personnel matters over the past two seasons, and joins the organization following a multi-year stint behind the bench as a Head Coach and Skill Development Professional with the Pittsburgh Penguins Youth Program (U16).

Marco Trevino, 39, of Beverly Hills, Michigan, played three seasons of junior hockey in the USHL with the Waterloo Black Hawks and Sioux City Musketeers (2001-2004). Trevino played two years of minor professional hockey before moving into various coaching roles. Prior to joining the Penguins Youth Organization, Trevino served as a Coach for the Detroit Victory Honda and Detroit Little Caesars organizations for twelve years. Trevino's family includes his wife, Keila, and three sons Tristen (17), Messier (14), and Bernie (4).
