BRADENTON, FL - The Bradenton Marauders, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, extended their franchise best winning streak to nine Sunday, sweeping the Jupiter Hammerheads 4-1 at McKechnie Field.

Nathan Baker took the win, pitching six and two thirds innings of dominant baseball. The lefty allowed only one run on two hits. The run was a Chase Austin homerun leading off the seventh. The win was his seventh of the season and third since the all-star break.

Offensively the longball triggered Bradenton's success once again. Ramon Cabrera and Carlos Paulino each homered; their second and fourth respectively this year. The hits helped increase a lead established with a David Rubinstein RBI groundout in the fourth.

The Marauders also got outstanding offensive contributions from Adalberto Santos and Cole White. The duo collected a collective five hits at the bottom of the lineup.

Major League rehabbing shortstop Chase d'Arnaud made his second appearance for Bradenton in the game as well. d'Arnaud went 1-3 with a single and run scored.

The Marauders winning streak is now at nine games. Bradenton looks to continue its success at Fort Myers Tuesday with a 7:05 first pitch. Radio coverage begins on 1280-AM WTMY, the Sports Fanatic, at 6:50. For more information visit BradentonMarauders.com.
