Marauders Stumble Early, Fall to Mets

Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (30-19, 62-57) fell 5-3 against the St. Lucie Mets (25-24, 60-59) on Sunday at McKechnie Field. St. Lucie led for all nine innings. SS Chris Diaz led the Marauders offensively with a 3-for-4 night, driving in a run with a ground rule double, scoring twice, and stealing a base.

NOTES: The game began at 5:03 p.m. under cloudy skies, 87 degrees, and wind blowing 6 mph out to center ... The game featured a 111 minute rain delay in the bottom of the seventh ... MLB-Rehabber Rafael Montero threw three innings for St. Lucie (2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 K) ... Austin Meadows posted his 40th multi- hit game of the season ...
