
Marauders Rally Late to Topple Fort Myers

Bradenton, FL - The Bradenton Marauders (2-2) tied the game with one out in the ninth and scored the deciding run in the 10th for a come-from-behind walk-of win 4-3 over the Fort Myers Miracle (2-2). 3B Connor Joe singled to bring in SS Kevin Newman with the winning run against Trevor Hildenberger (L, 0-1) in the 10th.
Trailing 3-2 in the ninth, Hildenberger gave up a triple to deep right center off the bat of 1B Chase Simpson. As Simpson slid into third, Nick Gordon's relay throw sailed into the stands to send Simpson home.
Fort Myers scored the first two runs off Bradenton starter RHP Yeudy Garcia. The Pirates' reigning Minor League Pitcher of the Year struck out four over 4 2/3 innings.
The Marauders didn't collect their first hit until Newman's single off Keaton Steele with two outs in the sixth. 2B Kevin Kramer followed with a double to bring Bradenton within 2-1.
Newman reached on a two-base error with one down in the 10th. Kramer followed with an infield single in front of Joe's game winner.
RHP Edgar Santana (1-0) tossed three scoreless innings to get the win.
