BRADENTON, FL - The Bradenton Marauders, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, hooked the Jupiter Hammerheads Sunday evening, winning 10-2 at McKechnie Field. The win is Bradenton's eighth in a row, the longest streak in the franchise's short history.

Bradenton struck early against rehabbing righty Alex Sanabia. After getting the first two outs, Sanabia allowed hits by Ramon Cabrera and Evan Chambers before he allowed a homerun to Elevys Gonzalez, his fifth. The lead was 3-0.

The Marauders added another run in the third when Gonzalez reached on a bunt single. Three batters later Cole White scored him on a single of his own.

Leading 4-1 in the sixth the doors really flew open. Against reliever Graham Johnson the Marauders sent 16 batters to the plate over two innings, scoring six runs. Robbie Grossman started it with a homerun, his ninth, in the sixth. The next four batters reached, highlighted by a Gonzalez RBI single and a sacrifice fly by Evan Chambers. It was 8-1.

The bases were left loaded in the seventh, but before that two runs came in to score on a White homerun and a single by Cabrera.

Jupiter's runs came in the fourth and ninth on groundouts from Kyle Jensen and Alfredo Lopez, the latter a double play.

The win went to Tyler Waldron, his second in two Marauders appearances. The starter allowed just a run in five and a third innings. The loss is Sanabia's first.

Major League rehabbing third baseman Chase d'Arnaud went 0-3 with a stolen base in his first game rehabbing a chipped fracture of his right pinky.

The Marauders go for nine straight and the sweep Monday at McKechnie Field. First pitch is 7pm with radio coverage at 6:45 on the Sports Fanatic, 1280-AM WTMY. For more information visit BradentonMarauders.com.
