Manitoba Moose News Release

KEEP IT FIVE-ON-FIVE: The Moose haven't given up much at even strength recently. Manitoba has only surrendered one even strength goal in the last seven periods going back to their game against San Diego on Nov. 12. The lone five-on-five marker came in Friday's game against the Roadrunners in the third period.

TIME IN THE BOX: Picking up five penalty minutes on Friday, Darren Kramer crossed the 700 penalty minute mark for his AHL career. Kramer has 20 penalty minutes in seven games this season without recording a minor penalty. Kramer spent his most time in the 'sin bin' in 2014-15 with the Binghamton Senators when he recorded 284 penalty minutes to lead the AHL. Kramer scored his first goal of the season in the same game.

ON THE SCORESHEET: After missing eight games this season due to injury, 2015-16 Moose points leader Brenden Kichton registered his first assist of the season on Friday. Last season, the blueliner had 41 points (11G, 30A) in 68 games. Kichton returned to the lineup Nov. 11 at San Diego.

I'M COMING HOME: The Moose will be happy to be back on MTS Centre ice this week. The team returns to friendly territory riding a five game home winning streak, not dropping a contest at home since Oct. 18. Their record isn't the only thing looking good at home. Moose special teams are significantly strong at the MTS Centre, featuring a 24.1% powerplay and 80.0% penalty kill in Winnipeg.

BACK IN THE CENTRAL: After playing 10 of their first 14 games against teams outside of their division (8 Pacific, 2 North), the Moose finally play some divisional games. Manitoba plays its next five games in the Central Division and 14 of its next 16 in the Central.
