Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth re-signed some offensive threats Thursday, agreeing to terms with forwards Brian Langtry, Jordan Cornfield and Matt Taylor, and rookie transition player Chris Gill.
Langtry, the Mammoth's third leading scorer last season with 67 points (31 goals, 36 assists) in 16 games, signed a three year contract. The feisty, 5-foot-10, 185-pound resident of Parker, Colo., is the Mammoth's all-time leader with 25 playoff goals.
"Brian has always been a contributor in our offense and we are looking for him to have more explosive seasons here in Denver in the near future," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said.
Cornfield, a 6-foot, 212-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, signed a one-year contract. He played 12 games last season, scoring nine goals and adding three assists.
Taylor, a native of Whitby, Ontario, who played two games for the Toronto Rock in 2006, played in four games for the Mammoth last season, tallying eight points. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound forward signed a three-year deal.
Gill, a native of Oaktown, Va., is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound transition player, who played his college lacrosse close to home at George Mason University. He also played a role on the Mammoth practice squad last season.
