
Mammoth players lead All-Star voting

Denver, Colo. â Colorado Mammoth players are leading voting for every position on the Western Team as balloting for the 2004 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game enters its final week.
Mammoth captain Gary Gait is leading all candidates nationally with more than 13,000 votes. Mammoth players account for top vote-getters in the West Team's remaining positions. Gait, Gavin Prout and Brian Langtry lead voting for forwards. Mammoth defensemen Jay Jalbert and Jamie Hanford lead voting for defensemen. Gee Nash is leading in votes at goaltender.
Fan balloting counts for one-third of the total, with media votes counting for one-third and coaches/general managers making up the final third. Fans can cast ballots at ColoradoMammoth.com. Voting ends February 9.
The 2004 NLL All-Star Game will be held at Pepsi Center Sunday February 22. Game time is 4 p.m. The All-Star Game will be preceded by the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Showdown between teams representing CU and CSU at 11:30, and an All-Star Skills Competition at 2 pm. Tickets start at $7 and include admission to all three Sunday events.
