Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth and the National Lacrosse League (NLL) have announced the launching of the NLL Network, an online grid of 13 channels streamed online at NLL.com. The channels will feature live, high-quality online video broadcasts of NLL regular season and playoff games for the 2009 season at no cost to viewers. Fans will be able to embed their favorite team's channel on MySpace, Face book or other websites making the NLL the first professional sports league to virally broadcast live games.

"We're very proud to announce to the launch of the NLL Network and to have NLL games available for free viewing all season long," said NLL Deputy Commissioner George Daniel. And we are very proud to be the first professional sports league to virally broadcast live games. Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in North America among youth. Our ability to virally broadcast our games is a logical way for us to reach our fan base."

The NLL Network launched last Saturday, January 3, with the first three games of the NLL season. Viewers are able to easily change channels and watch multiple games at once with the user friendly grid on NLL.com. A chat feature will allow fans to communicate with each other while watching live broadcasts of the games. Eight regular season games will be broadcast live on NLL.com this coming weekend. Games throughout the season may be subject to blackout restrictions. In addition to the 12 team channels, the NLL Network will also feature a league channel. The launch of NLL Network was in conjunction with the re-launch of NLL.com including the league's online community and fantasy game.

Locally, a talented team of broadcasters has been assembled for Mammoth webcasts. Andy Lindahl, a Colorado native, is no stranger to the Denver media scene. Currently a sports reporter for 850 KOA, Lindahl already hosts, produces or works with several high profile sports teams and events in the Denver area. He will handle the play-by-play duties for the Mammoth webcasts and brings a wealth of experience, talent and insight to the job.

Darren McKee and Melissa Aust will split the color commentary duties alongside Lindahl in the webcast booth. McKee is a 20-year radio veteran with considerable experience as a sports anchor, radio host and reporter among several professional ranks. He currently is a host on 104.3 The Fan.

Melissa Aust brings a unique spirit and incredible talent to the webcast booth this season. With television experience at KCNC and KDVR in Denver to her credit, Aust has also worked in promotional radio with KBPI, 850 KOA, among others. In her experience, she has hosted, reported and acted as part of her qualifying roles.

The webcast team debuts this Saturday night as the Colorado Mammoth host the Portland LumberJax at Pepsi Center at 7pm. It will be the home opener for the Mammoth.
