Minnesota Swarm's Kevin Croswell and Andrew Watt Win Weekly NLL Player Awards

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today that Minnesota Swarm goaltender Kevin Croswell has been named Defensive Player of the Week and forward Andrew Watt has been named Rookie of the Week following the Swarm's 11-7 win at Portland in Week One of the NLL season.

Croswell, 23 (10/21/85), stopped 42 of 49 shots faced in his first career start, held the LumberJax to one power play goal in five chances and picked up two assists to record his first NLL victory. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound native of Peterborough, Ontario leads the NLL with a 7.00 goals against average (GAA) and a .857 SV Pct. He was 0-2 in five relief appearances with Minnesota last season posting an 11.26 GAA and a .789 SV Pct.

Watt, 24 (1/9/84), recorded an assist and picked up six loose balls in his NLL debut Saturday at Portland. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound native of Kitchener, Ontario was the Swarm's first pick (8th overall) in the 2008 NLL Entry Draft. He notched 36 goals and 19 assists in 15 games in his senior season with Robert Morris University.
