Mallards to Hold Food Drive Wednesday Night

Madison, Wis. - July 1, 2014. The Madison Mallards have announced a partnership with MINI of Madison and the Goodman Community Center to hold a food drive at the "Duck Pond" on Wednesday, July 2nd against the Kalamazoo Growlers. MINI of Madison will bring a MINI Cooper to the ballpark on Wednesday for fans to fill with non-perishable food items.
"The Mallards are excited to be able to provide a venue and atmosphere to put on this event," said Mallards Assistant General Manager Tyler Isham. "Our partnership with MINI of Madison has allowed us to be able to contribute to this great cause."
The food drive will begin on the second and run throughout the month of July. The public can donate items at different MINI of Madison events across Madison or the MINI of Madison dealership. The drive will conclude at the Mallards game on July 30th. The plan for the game that night is to have a fleet of MINIs full of food items to donate to the pantry. At the July 30th game, fans can win free Mallards tickets by guessing just how much food is in the MINIs.
