Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards will bid to extend their ECHL-best home winning streak when they return to the iWireless Center for a promotion-packed pair of games Friday and Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Wheeling Nailers.

The first 1,000 fans to enter the iWireless Center Friday evening for the Mallards' first home game of December will receive free Mallards winter caps courtesy of KWQC-TV6. The "Sherpa"-style hats are in the Mallards' team colors and feature both Mallard and KWQC TV-6 logos.

The first 1,000 youngsters ages 12 and under through the doors Saturday evening for the Mallards' rematch with the Nailers will receive free Mallards/YMCA youth replica jerseys. The Mallards have teamed with Scott County Family YMCA to give away youth jerseys modeled on the special edition "blackout" sweaters worn by the Mallards last month.

Fans attending Friday's game will have the chance to cheer on the Mallards' bid for a ninth straight home victory. The Mallards' current run of eight consecutive wins at the iWireless Center is tied for the longest home winning streak in the ECHL this season, while their 11-game (10-0-1) home regulation unbeaten streak is the longest in the league this year. The Mallards lead the ECHL with ten home wins in total.

Friday also brings the return of $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and beers from iWireless Center concession stands during all Friday night home games.

Friday is also another MetroLINK College Night. The Mallards have partnered with Metro to provide transit service between Augustana College and downtown Moline during Friday home games. As part of Metro's unlimited ride program, Augustana riders can use their Augustana ID as their fare.

Friday night's contest kicks off a run of four December home games and the Mallards' Frosty 4-Pack provides a convenient means of enjoying all the action. The package consists of four ticket vouchers good for any available seat for any those four home games, a Mallards-autographed stick signed by the entire team and a puck autographed by a Mallards player- all for just $80. After this weekend's series with Wheeling, the Mallards are next in action on home ice Saturday, December 26 against Indy and Wednesday, December 30 against Evansville. Fans can call the Mallards at 309-277-1364 to order the Frosty 4-Pack.
