October 21, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Quad City Mallards News Release

Moline, IL-Quad City Mallards President and General Manager Howard Cornfield today announced that defenseman Colin Peters has been added to the team's 2004-05 roster. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman is coming to the Quad Cities to begin his first season in pro hockey.

Peters spent four seasons at St. Cloud State University. Peters developed a reputation for his dependable stay-at-home play with the Huskies. He appeared in 143 college games scoring 21 points on six goals and 15 assists.

Peters made his pro debut earlier this month with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League. Peters did not record a point or a penalty minute in his lone game in Manchester.

"Colin will help stabilize our blueline," said Cornfield. "He was a highly rated player coming out of college and we are fortunate that he chose to play for the Mallards."
