
Mallards Add Pair of Forwards

Moline, IL-Quad City Mallards Head Coach and General Manager Brian Curran announced today that the team has signed forwards Mike Olynyk and Noah Whyte. Olynyk has played 175 professional games in the Central Hockey League (CHL). Whyte is in his second season of pro hockey and has played 53 ECHL games.
Olynyk spent his first three pro seasons with the Austin Ice Bats of the CHL. During his tenure in Austin, he recorded 14 goals and 29 assists for 43 points with 537 penalty minutes. Last year, he played 55 games with the Ice Bats recording 11 points on three goals and eight assists with 196 penalty minutes.
Whyte split his rookie season between the ECHL's Toledo Storm and Pee Dee Pride. In 52 total games, he had three goals and eight assists for 11 points with 60 penalty minutes. He began this year with the Stockton Thunder (ECHL) where he recorded a goal and 12 penalty minutes in his only game.
The Mallards return home this Friday for Magnet Schedule Night presented by Riverbend Home Mortgage, Eagle's Crest Apartments and Q106.5 FM. Friday night is also Clinton Chamber Night.
