
Makarov, Blades Stop Hitmen

Calgary Hitmen News Release
Saskatoon, SK - Andrey Makarov (MACK-a-rov) made 39 saves in a first star performance backstopping the Saskatoon Blades to a 4-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen Wednesday night.
Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Josh Nicholls and Matej Stransky both had a goal and an assist to lead the Saskatoon offense. Darren Dietz and Lukas Sutter also scored in the win.
Chase Clayton, with his first goal of the season, provided the lone Hitmen goal as Calgary hit one crossbar and three goal posts in the loss.
Calgary is now 6-7-0-1 on the season.
They return to action Friday night in Brandon before heading to Regina Saturday, Moose Jaw Sunday and Swift Current Tuesday.
The Hitmen are back home to host the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday, November 11th. It's the Remembrance Day game with a 7:00 p.m. start at Scotiabank Saddledome.
