Erie Otters News Release

Mike Pelech capped off an outstanding evening with the game winner in overtime as the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors beat the Erie Otters 4-3 in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,337 at the Tullio Arena.

Pelech also had three assists in the game to help the Majors to victory. Cameron Gaunce, Devante Smith-Pelly and Jesse Messier scored the other Mississauga goals in regulation as the Majors improved to 10-13-0-1 with the victory.

Zack Torquato paced the Otters with a pair while Greg McKegg netted the other. Erie slipped to 12-13-2-0 with the loss.

The Otters led 2-1 after one. The two teams were tied at two after two. Torquato gave the Otters a one-goal lead early in the third only to see Messier strike with less than five minutes remaining in regulation to force the OT.

The Otters out shot the Majors 26-21 in the game as Jaroslav Janus took the loss. The three stars of the game were 1. Torquato; 2. Pelech and 3 Hodgman.

The Otters head out onto the road for their next game traveling to Kitchener to face the Rangers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H.
