Majors Host 3rd Annual Meet the Majors BBQ

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors hockey club is excited to be bringing back its signature event, Meet the Majors, to kick off the 2009-10 season. The event will be held right here at the Majors home, the Hershey Centre, on Saturday, October 10 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Main Bowl will be transformed into a space for fans to enjoy a meal of hot dogs and hamburgers, free-of-charge, while quantities last. All Majors players representing the team in 2009-10, along with the Mississauga Maniac, will be in attendance for a meet-and-greet and autograph signing with members of the public. The event will feature Majors official public address announcer, Tony Ambrogio, as Master of Ceremony for the day, and the Majors first-ever, game-used equipment sale will be held on-site.

The Hershey Centre is located at 5500 Rose Cherry Place in Mississauga and fans can enter through the Community Entrance (Gate #5). Come on out, meet your local OHL team and celebrate the launch of the Majors brand new hockey season at Mississauga's leading sports and entertainment facility!

The Majors continue their road trip this weekend with a contest against the London Knights on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Mississauga visits the Sarnia Sting on the following evening at 7:30 p.m. Home opener takes place on Friday, October 2 against the Brampton Battalion at 7:30 p.m. A complete list of the Majors 2009-10 regular season schedule is available at the Majors website (www.stmichaelsmajors.com).
