
Mahon Returns to BayBears, Reyes on Leave

KODAK, Tenn. (August 28) - Prior to tonight's contest between the Mobile BayBears and Tennessee Smokies at Smokies Park, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the BayBears have made the following roster moves. IF Guillermo Reyes has taken a personal leave of absence because of a death in the family. Reyes began the season at Triple-A Reno where he hit .229. He was 1-for-11 in 7 games with the BayBears. To replace Reyes on the roster, RHP Reid Mahon has been reassigned to the BayBears after a brief stint at Triple-A Reno. Mahon was 5-1 with a 3.21 ERA in 19 appearances for the BayBears earlier this season. With Reno, Reid was 1-2 with a 6.63 ERA in 14 outings. The BayBears now have 24 active players with 3 on the disabled list.
