JACKSON, TENN. - Brandon Hicks' sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth gave the M-Braves (30-29) a 5-4 walk-off win over the Diamond Jaxx (33-28). With the loss, the Jaxx move back into a first place tie with the Tennessee Smokies. The Chattanooga Lookouts are a game back with nine games to play. Matt Young led the offensive charge for the Braves, posting a 3-for-4 night at the plate with a homer, double, and three RBI. For the Diamond Jaxx, Greg Halman hit his league leading 25th homer of the year, and his fourth in his last six games.

The Braves struck first on Friday night by scoring a run in the first inning. After Jaxx starter, Robert Rohrbaugh fanned Nate McLouth, he surrendered back-to-back singles to Matt Young and Brandon Hicks. That tandem moved up a base on a double steal, and then Young came into score on a wild pitch by Rohrbaugh. The Braves opened it up, 1-0 after the first.

The Braves added to their lead in the top of the second inning with two outs. Matt Young blasted a three-run homerun to right giving the M-Braves a 4-0 advantage. With two outs, Rohrbaugh walked Travis Jones and Nate McLouth, before giving up the fourth homer of the season by Young. The Braves took a commanding 4-0 lead after the second inning.

West Tenn had several opportunities early on in the game, but the Jaxx did grab a run in the top of the fourth. Travis Garcia plated Callix Crabbe with a sacrifice fly to center, shortening the deficit to 4-1.

Jaxx starter, Robert Rohrbaugh left the game after just four innings on the hill. The outing was the shortest of the season for Rohrbaugh and he yielded four runs on six hits. He also walked three and fanned four.

The Diamond Jaxx evened the score with the Braves by plating three runs in the top of the sixth. Jaxx catcher, Jose Yepez brought home Travis Garcia with a sacrifice fly and a two-run homerun by Greg Halman. Garcia began the rally with a double and advanced to third on a wild pitch, setting up the sac fly by Yepez. Ezequiel Carrera walked for the third time in the game and scored on Greg Halman's league leading 25th long ball of the year.

The Braves loaded the bases against Anthony Varvaro (4-3) in the ninth inning and Brandon Hicks hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Travis Jones, beating the Jaxx 5-4. Varvaro walked a batter, surrendered a base hit and on a controversial play, hit a batter. Craig Kimbrel (2-1) earned the victory for the M-Braves, working a scoreless top of the ninth and struck out two.

With the season series even at 11-11, the Braves and Diamond Jaxx hit the diamond again on Saturday night, with the first pitch beginning at 7:05 at Trustmark Park. RHP Luis Munoz (7-6, 4.12) will look for his fourth win in five outings on Saturday for the Diamond Jaxx and making the start for the Braves will be RHP Kyle Cofield (10-4, 3.37).
