
Magic Defeat Warriors to Advance to G League Finals

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors 108-96 in the NBA G League semifinal round. The Magic now advance to the NBA G League Finals to take on the Delaware Blue Coats on Thursday.
Santa Cruz got up early on Lakeland and took a slight lead into halftime. Lakeland held the Warriors to just 14 points in the third quarter and outscored Santa Cruz 49-35 in the second half. The Magic continued their hot shooting from the quarterfinal round and made 17 of 42 three-point shots in the game. For the second night in a row the Magic bench came up big, outscoring their opponent's second unit 57-24.
Robert Franks led all scorers with 23 points (5-8 3PT) and seven rebounds. Jeff Dowtin posted a season-high 17 points, six assists and four rebounds. Devin Cannady finished with 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Tahjere McCall added 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Lakeland Magic take on the Delaware Blue Coats in the NBA G League Finals on Thursday, March 11. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:30 PM at the AdventHealth Arena. The game can be seen on ESPN2.
