
Mad Ants Earn Win at Home

FORT WAYNE, IN (February 22, 2015) - The Mad Ants, sponsored by Lutheran Health Network, got the win at home, Sunday February 22nd, taking down the Grand Rapids Drive 91-81 at the Allen Co. War Memorial Coliseum.
The first half belonged largely to the Mad Ants' offensive game, as they posted leads of up to 20 early in the game. The Drive found a way to crawl back into the game as the first half came to a close; the Mad Ants still holding their lead going into the locker room 44-43. Andre Emmett led the first half of play for the Mad Ants with 13 points and 4 rebounds. Ramon Harris, Gary Talton and making his Mad Ants return, Trey McKinney-Jones, each recorded 7 points. For the Drive, Adonis Thomas led with 21 points.
Early in the third quarter, the Drive held close with the Mad Ants, but with an offensive run by the duo of Emmett and Talton, the Mad Ants would pull ahead by 12 to start the fourth quarter. That double digit lead would hold strong as the Mad Ants finished the night with the 91-81 victory. Emmett would lead the Mad Ants with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Talton finished the night with 21 points and 5 assists and Travis Hyman would grab down 10 rebounds to end his night.
For the Drive, Thomas recorded 32 points to lead all scorers. Willie Reed would grab down 12 rebounds to go with his 8 points.
