
Mad Ants Stave off Drive's Comeback

Fort Wayne, IN - Feb. 22 - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants (22-14) avenged Thursday night's loss to the Grand Rapids Drive (16-17) by winning the Sunday rematch at home, 91-81.
The Mad Ants jumped out to an early lead, scoring 28 points in a hectic first quarter. But the Drive rebounded defensively and allowed just 18 points in the second quarter, and headed into halftime down by just one.
Fort Wayne dominated the third quarter, and led by ten at the start of the fourth. Grand Rapids was able to keep it interesting by lowering the lead to four with just over two minutes to go, but a three by Ben Simmons secured the win for the home team.
Andre Emmett scored 29 points for Fort Wayne and Gary Talton had 21 with five rebounds and five assists.
Adonis Thomas was a one-man show for the Drive, scoring 32 points and draining six three-pointers. Brandon Fields added _ points and _ assists.
The Mad Ants will next head to Canton on February 27 and take on the Charge. The Drive will play at home the same day against the Delaware 87ers.
