
Bhullar's Triple-Double Not Enough to Hold off the D-Fenders

RENO, Nev., Feb. 22, 2015- Despite Bighorns 7'5" center, Sim Bhullar going 12-15 from the field and logging his first a triple-double of the season, the Bighorns took a 124-104 loss to the Los Angeles D-Fenders Sunday night at the Reno Events Center.
Ra'shad James paced the Bighorns with 30 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Bhullar notched 26 points, 17 rebounds and 11 blocked shots. Tajuan Porter had 18 points and six assists.
Jabari Brown led the D-Fenders with 28 points, five rebounds and three assists. Vander Blue tallied 23 points and seven assists.
During the first quarter, James led the Bighorns with nine points while Bhullar went 3-3 from the field totaling six points and two rebounds. Porter and David Wear notched five points each.
James led the Bighorns in the second quarter netting 10 points and adding four rebounds. Bhullar added four points while Porter added three points.
The Bighorns went into the locker room at the half trailing the D-fenders 73-50. James went 7-13 from the field in the first half while Bhullar went 5-5.
In the third quarter, Cameron Ayers led the Bighorns with six points. James tallied five points in the quarter while Bhullar went 3-3 from the field in the quarter with six points and seven rebounds.
Bhullar led the Bighorns in the final quarter with 10 points and six rebounds. Porter followed Bhullar closely with seven points and two assists. James finished the quarter with six points and four assists. The Bighorns outshot the D-Fenders 30-23 in the final quarter.
Bhullar went 7-10 from the field in the second half of the game while Ayers went 3-3 from the field.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Saturday, February 28 to face the Oklahoma City Clue at 7 p.m.
