
Mad Ants Conduct Trade with Santa Cruz

FORT WAYNE, IN (October 31, 2012) -The Mad Ants have agreed to trade their original 3rd round pick in the 2013 NBA D-League draft to the Santa Cruz Warriors in exchange for Tommy Smith.
Smith, a 6'10" forward from Arizona State, averaged 7.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game for the Dakota Wizards during the 2011-12 NBA D-League season. He was drafted in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2003 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. He averaged 11.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 32 games for the Bulls. Smith then spent time playing in the Philippines, Germany, Syria, and China, before being acquired by the Dakota Wizards in December of 2011.
The Mad Ants will tip-off their 2012-13 season against the Erie Bayhawks on Friday, November 23rd at 7:30pm at the Memorial Coliseum. Season tickets for the 2012-2013 season are on sale now and start at just $99! For ticket information call 260-469-4667.
