
Mad Ants Acquire Lafayette

Fort Wayne, IN (December 16, 2010) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that they have signed former Mad Ant, Oliver Lafayette and have waived Anthony Goods.
Lafayette, a 6-2 guard from Houston, played 48 games for the Mad Ants in the 2009-10 season. He averaged 17.1 points and 6.5 assists per game and finished the season on a hot streak averaging 26.4 points in the last 7 seven game. He's late season scoring run resulted in an NBA Call-Up to the Boston Celtics after the conclusion of the season. Lafayette scored 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in his first NBA game and got to be a part of the Celtics NBA Playoff run.
Lafayette spent the first portion of this season playing overseas in Serbia.
Lafayette will join the team on the road for a double header against the Tulsa 66ers, the two teams will face off tonight and tomorrow night at 8:00pm. Fan's can follow the Ants on the road by watching the games for Free and in HD via the NBA Futurecast.
