Lynx Re-sign Branham, Crum

AUGUSTA, Ga.− The Augusta Lynx have re-signed defensemen Tim Branham and B.J. Crum, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations John Marks announced today.

"I'm excited to have both of these guys back for another year with the Lynx," Marks said. "Tim is a solid ECHL defenseman who can really be a cornerstone on the blue line. B.J. is entering his second year, and I often say that defensemen really mature between their first and second professional seasons."

Branham, 27, had two assists and 59 penalty minutes in 61 games with the Lynx last season. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Eagle River, Wis., also had one assist in five Kelly Cup Playoff games last year. Branham has 28 points (five goals, 23 assists) and 146 penalty minutes in 153 career regular-season ECHL games with Johnstown, Texas, Peoria, Florida and Augusta from 2002-03 through the 2007-08 season.

Branham is also a veteran of 64 career AHL games, where he has 10 points (one goal, nine assists) and 38 penalty minutes with Saint John and Portland from 2002-03 through 2003-04. Branham was originally selected 93rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. His complete career statistics are attached.

Crum, 25, had three points (one goal, two assists) and 12 penalty minutes in 18 regular-season games with the Lynx after coming over from Johnstown at the trade deadline last season The 6-foot-2, 205 pound native of Hampden, Mass., finished his rookie campaign with seven points (two goals, five assists) and 24 penalty minutes in 44 total regular-season games.

Prior to turning pro, Crum had 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists) and 194 penalty minutes in 133 career games with the University of Connecticut from 2003-04 through the 2006-07 season. His complete career statistics are attached.
