
UPMC Health Plan Hosts Special Event For Johnstown Chiefs Season-Ticket Holders

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (September 18, 2008) - The Johnstown Chiefs of the East Coast Hockey League will give season-ticket holders a chance to meet and mingle with their favorite players in a special event at UPMC Health Plan's Johnstown office.
Coach Ian Herbers, several Chiefs players, and the team mascot, Tom E. Hawk, will be available for photos, autographs and hockey talk with season-ticket holders, who can also pick up their tickets for the 2008-09 season that night. The 90-minute event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at UPMC Health Plan's office located at 1219 Scalp Ave. in Johnstown.
The Chiefs are scheduled to hold their first full practice of the season on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The Chiefs open the regular season on Oct. 17, in New Jersey against the Trenton Devils. The team's first home game is Saturday, Oct. 18 against the Wheeling Nailers at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
UPMC Health Plan, the second-largest health insurer in Western Pennsylvania, is an official sponsor of the 2008-09 Johnstown Chiefs. In addition to its Pittsburgh headquarters, UPMC Health Plan has offices in Johnstown and Erie.
