Ottawa Lynx News Release
In a game where the Lynx generated little offense, they scored the first run in the bottom of the 1st without recording a hit. Eddy Garabito reached on an error and moved to second on a one out walk to Edwards Guzman. After a failed pickoff attempt moved the runners up one more base, Garabito came to count on Geronimo Gil's bouncer to third. The Bisons would start their big day in the 3rd, by scoring five run off of five hits, including the first of two Mark Little homers, off of Lynx starter Brian Forystek. Buffalo scored five more in the 5th, chasing Forystek and on the way to collecting 20 hits, a season high against Ottawa. The Lynx scored their second run of the day in the bottom half, as Chad Mottola launched his third homer of the year to left, making the score 10-2. Buffalo added three more in the top of the 8th against Darwin Cubillan, and the Lynx scored again when Joey Hammond's sac fly brought home Darnell McDonald who had doubled. Hammond came on to make his second pitching appearance of the year in the 9th inning, giving up one run on two hits. The Lynx scored their final run in the bottom half as McDonald singled home Pedro Swann, who had walked.
