Lynx Doubleheader Cancelled, Home Opener Tomorrow

OTTAWA – The weather didn't help out much in Pawtucket, so it's time for the Ottawa Lynx to come home. Today's doubleheader against the Pawtucket Red Sox was cancelled due to rain, marking the third straight game the Lynx have had postponesd. The Lynx will make of one of the games by changing next Tuesday's 1:05 game against Pawtucket in Ottawa to a doubleheader. The other two games against the Paw Sox will be made up as part of doubleheaders played in Pawtucket on July 29th and August 27th.

Your Ottawa Lynx, in their first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles will play their first home game of the season tomorrow, April 10th, at 6:05 p.m. when they take on the Buffalo Bisons.

Opening day should be a special day at Lynx Stadium. "We're been looking forward to it for months." Said Lynx General Manager Kyle Bostwick "We are excited about our new affiliation with the Baltimore Orioles and the new team we have this year. We are anticipating another season of fun, exciting, and winning baseball." The Lynx will go one step further this year to welcome the Orioles as their new affiliate. "Our whole staff is dying their hair Oriole orange. We invite any and all fans to do the same and to wear orange to celebrate the first day in what should be a great relationship with the Oriole family."

The Lynx continue their first home stand for the next eight days at Lynx Stadium. Buffalo is the Lynx guest from Thursday to Sunday, with Pawtucket invading the Lynx den from Monday April 14th to Thursday April 17th.
