
OF Jason Conti Outrighted To Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Outfielder Jason Conti has been outrighted to the Indianapolis Indians from the Milwaukee Brewers, the ballclubs announced today. The Brewers activated outfielder Geoff Jenkins from the disabled list.
Conti, 28, was acquired by the Brewers from Tampa Bay for catcher Javier Valentin during spring training. The lefthanded batter appeared in six games for Milwaukee going 0-for-5 with a walk.
Conti hit .257 in 78 games with the Devil Rays last season. He hit three home runs and drove in 21.
Conti made his major league debut with Arizona in 2000 hitting .231 in 47 games. He saw action in another five games with the Diamondbacks in 2001 hitting .250. Conti split most of the 2001 season between Triple-A Tucson and Durham combining to hit .324 with 14 HR and 70 stolen bases. He was a Pacific Coast League All-Star.
Conti, 5'11", 180 lbs, has three days to report to Indianapolis and will join the club later on this homestand.
