NORFOLK, VA. - Jordan Luplow clubbed a three-run home run to tie the game for the Indianapolis Indians in the top of the ninth, but Renato Nunez's single in the bottom of the frame delivered the walk-off victory for the Norfolk Tides on Wednesday night, 4-3.

The Indians (19-17) had managed just one hit and trailed 3-0 entering the ninth inning. Kevin Newman singled to start the top of the ninth but was replaced at first base on a fielder's choice. Austin Meadows then lined a hit to center field, and Luplow followed with a mammoth blast to left field to tie the game, 3-3.

Norfolk (20-16) rallied quickly in the bottom of the ninth. Jaycob Brugman singled to open the frame and was then bunted over to second base. After an intentional walk to Mike Yastrzemski, Nunez lined a ball down the left-field line to plate Brugman and win the game.

Nunez had the biggest hit of the game prior to the ninth inning as well. He doubled home two runs for the first score of the game in the bottom of the third.

Luplow's long ball spoiled a gem by Norfolk starter Yefry Ramirez. He limited Indianapolis to just one hit over seven frames and fanned seven. Ramirez only walked one batter and never allowed an Indy baserunner to get to second base.

J.T. Brubaker fanned five and allowed three runs in his start for Indy.

The Indians will try and win the series tomorrow afternoon at 12:05 p.m. Indy returns home to Victory Field on Monday, May 21.
