The LumberKings continued their four game road trip for the second stop on the trip in Springfield, Illinois. The Sliders took two at Nelson Corp Field in a double header back on June 12th. On a five-game losing streak and just 3-7 in their last 10, the LumberKings looked to right the ship.
A game that saw extra innings and 25 runs in the ball game, the LumberKings dropped another one on the road 13-12 against Springfield.
Trevor Hazelhurst gets the win for the Sliders, and Jake Swanson gets the loss for the LumberKings. The LumberKings drop to 8-11 on the year and the Sliders improve to 12-7.
