Lumberjacks Training Schedule Revised

May 14, 2003 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Bangor Lumberjacks News Release

Bangor, ME- The Bangor Lumberjacks, a proud member of the Northeast League, have had a hard time getting outdoors thanks to Mother Nature's incessant rain. The rain has forced the Jacks to rearrange this week's schedule.

On Thursday, May 15 through Saturday, May 17, the Lumberjacks will be training at the John Winkin Complex at Husson College from 9 AM-2PM on each of those days.

The Lumberjacks have been working inside at the University of Maine, but the drainage at the Winkin Complex will allow the Jacks to get outside for some full field drills.

"We would like to thank Husson College for allowing us to shift over there for this week. We would also like to thank the University of Maine for being so accommodating, allowing us to work inside at such a great facility. The weather has not been cooperative, and both Husson and Maine have been great," stated Jacks General Manager Curt Jacey.

The practices are open to the public.

The Lumberjacks open the 2003 campaign on the road against the Allentown (PA) Ambassadors on Thursday, May 22, but return to Bangor for the home opener on Friday, May 30 at 7 PM against the New Jersey Jackals at Mahaney Diamond. Please call 207-947-1900 for all ticket, promotional, and sponsorship information.
