Lumberjacks Send Three Staff Members to the 2022 BioSteel All-American Game

MUSKEGON, Mich. - The Muskegon Lumberjacks have announced the team will be sending three staff members to the 2022 BioSteel All-American Game, scheduled for Monday, Jan. 17 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich. Representing the Lumberjacks for the upcoming showcase are Associate Head Coach Cody Chupp, Athletic Trainer Ian Wood, and Equipment Manager Brian Stoya.
Chupp is currently in his second season as an Associate Head Coach with the Muskegon Lumberjacks and will serve in an assistant role for Team White. Prior to his current role with the Stars, Chupp served as General Manager and Head Coach of the Lincoln Stars (2017-20). In that role, Chupp oversaw a group of 10 NHL Draft picks, including current Chicago Blackhawks forward Josiah Slavin (2018, Round 7, #193 Overall). Chupp's USHL coaching career began with a three-year stint as an Assistant Coach with the Green Bay Gamblers.
Wood is currently in his eighth year as the Athletic Trainer for the Muskegon Lumberjacks and will serve as an athletic trainer for Team White. Prior to working for Muskegon, he was an athletic training student on an internship during his last semester at Central Michigan University, where he graduated in the Spring of 2013.
Stoya is currently in his first year as the Lumberjacks' head equipment manager in 2021-22 and will serve as equipment manager for Team White. Before arriving in the Port City, Stoya was the head equipment manager with the Columbus River Dragons in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Previously, Stoya spent two seasons as the head equipment manager of the USHL's Dubuque Fighting Saints from 2018 to 2020. This will be Stoya's first nomination to the BioSteel All-American Game.
The event starts at 4 pm EST on Jan. 17 and will be broadcast live on NHL Network.
