Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release

MUSKEGON, MI - The United States Hockey League (USHL) and its participating Member Clubs announced the 2021-22 regular season schedule on Friday. The season will consist of 62 games for each team in a regionally-based schedule.

Kicking off the season against the Sioux Falls Stampede at the DICK's Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic, the Lumberjacks will begin their season with 5 games on the road before returning for their home opening weekend against the defending Clark Cup Champions Chicago Steel on October 15 and 16. The following week, they'll be back on the road to face a returning Madison Capitols team, who, along with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, were forced to sit out last season.

Fans will have the chance to see Muskegon play 30 games at home this year, including 14 Fridays, 14 Saturdays, and 2 Sunday afternoon matchups. These dates also include some special holiday games, as fans will have the chance to celebrate Halloween with the Jacks at their home games on October 29 and 30, Thanksgiving with the Jacks on November 26 and 27, and ring in the New Year when the Jacks face the Youngstown Phantoms on New Years Eve.

Late in the season, a favorable March will set up for a brutal April. The Jacks will play 6 home games in a row during the month of March, including matchups against Dubuque, Green Bay, and Team USA. April however will not be as forgiving, as the Jacks play only a single game at home, closing out their season against the Chicago Steel on Saturday, April 23.
