
Lumberjacks Honor Military, Faith & Family Back to Back in November

Muskegon, Michigan. (November 9, 2015) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are excited to partner with local area businesses and individuals in Muskegon County and beyond for two special November nights in downtown Muskegon. The Friday, November 20th Military Appreciation game will find hundreds of Muskegon County and West Michigan Veteran's and their families attending the 7:15 Lumberjacks Game vs. the Cedar Rapids Roughriders compliments of dozens of local area businesses donating to the "Seats for Service" initiative.
Muskegon Lumberjacks Account Executive and US Navy Veteran, Chris Benedict, has championed the event alongside the entire Lumberjacks Front-office as one way to say thank you to local service men, women and their families, "I have been humbled and pleased that local companies and individual families are coming on board to purchase Lumberjacks tickets as a way to say thanks to our Military men and women and their families. I am so very proud to have served my county in the Navy and love that so many others are stepping up to say thanks to others that have previously or are currently serving."
Active or retired Military members that would like to receive a donated "Seat for Service" can stop by the Lumberjacks Box-office between 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday or call 231-724-5225. With documentation of service, they will be provided a minimum of two and up to eight tickets for the Friday, November 20th game. Friday's game will also feature $1 Dogs and $1 Beers, Military Bubble-Ball, a very special on-ice swear in, and a unique military jersey live auction with proceeds benefiting local veterans.
The following night, the Lumberjacks will celebrate a special Faith and Family evening. The event will begin with a distinctive 5:45 p.m. meet-and-greet hosted by JQ99 personality Ace Bailey in the JQ99 Comfort Zone (section 119) with special guests NHL Veteran and USA Hockey Hall of Famer, John Vanbiesbrouck (Lumberjacks GM) and fellow NHL Alum and Lumberjacks head Coach Todd Krygier. The game will also feature special music, in-game give-a-ways provided by JQ99 and a post-game skate with the Jacks, accompanied by a special musical guest. Two dollars of each JQ99, $9.99 Group Ticket will be donated to the Muskegon Rescue Mission (http://www.muskegonmission.org/). Folks can also purchase the new JQ99 Family Five-Pack which provides five tickets in section 119, five hot-dogs, five sodas and five Country Dairy Ice-Cream Treats (additional JQ99 Comfort Zone Tickets available for $11).
The Lumberjacks are celebrating their sixth season in the United States Hockey League, and season ticket packages for the 2015-16 regular season are still available!
