
Lumberjacks Help With Coats For Kids Drive

MUSKEGON, MI.--- Continuing on their central theme of being integrally involved in the community, the first place Muskegon Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League, in concert with DTE Energy and Huntington Bank are stepping forward to lend a helping hand in the true spirit of giving.
The Lumberjacks, DTE Energy and Huntington Bank are extending an invitation to everyone to join them to make a difference in keeping children nice and warm and "toasty" this winter. It's the annual "COATS FOR KIDS" drive which is currently underway now through December 30th.
"Last year we collected hundreds of coats ," noted Roger Royer, DTE Energy's Regional Relations Manager. "The hockey fans in Muskegon have been so generous and supportive of this effort; we're hopeful their generosity will continue this year."
The Lumberjacks will be there front and center to assist in making this year's annual drive the best one ever yet.
Those who donate a new or gently used coat will receive a "buy one, get one free" voucher to attend any one of the Lumberjacks home games in the month of December as a holiday gift during the holiday season.
"This drive is very important to our Lumberjacks organization," emphasized Lumberjacks General Manager Tim Taylor. "To get involved in this mission truly represents what our organization is all about which is to always give back to our community. We fully understand that these are not the best of times, however, we certainly have the spirit, energy and, above all the commitment to make it through these difficult times by bonding together as a great community and lend a hand to help each other."
To join the Lumberjacks, DTE Energy and Huntington Bank in this annual "COATS FOR KIDS" campaign, fans can drop off coats at the Muskegon Lumberjacks offices located at the Fourth Street entrance of Walker Arena located at 470 W. Western Avenue, downtown Muskegon or at the following Huntington Bank locations:

"Huntington Bank is proud to be involved in such a worthy effort," said Tracy Bailey, Huntington Bank's District Manager for Muskegon. "Huntington Bank has been, and will continue to be, focused on community events such as this."
Donated coats will be distributed to those in need throughout the Muskegon area.
