
Lukas Dragicevic Named WHL Player of the Week

KENNEWICK, WA - The Western Hockey League announced today that Americans defenseman Lukas Dragicevic has been named WHL Player of the Week for the week ending on November 6, 2022.
Dragicevic led all WHL defensemen last week with seven points (two goals, five assists) through four games played, including an overtime-winning goal to defeat the Wheat Kings 4-3 on Friday in Brandon.
The 17-year-old leads all WHL defensemen in scoring this season with five goals and 16 assists through 16 games played. He is currently on a ten-game point streak, the longest of any WHL defenseman this season, with three goals and 11 assists over that period.
He was recently listed as a B-ranked skater, a potential second-or-third-round pick, for the 2023 NHL Draft by NHL Central Scouting.
Dragicevic, a native of Richmond, B.C., was selected fourth-overall by the Americans in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft. He led all WHL 2005-born defenseman in scoring last season as he put up six goals and 26 assists through 62 games played for the Americans.
