Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
Over 2,000 people and over 60 dogs attended Sunday night's Bark In The Park VII promotion at Bowman Field as the Crosscutters hosted the Aberdeen IronBirds. Everyone bringing a dog to the ballpark was eligible for the $10,000 Canine Cash Scramble after the game. Brett Tourscher of Dushore and his dog Hoobster, a German Shepard mix, were selected to participate. Hoobster had 60 seconds to pick one of 100 numbered tennis balls on the field. If he selected the correct ball they would win $10,000. Hoobster sniffed around and after approximately 5 seconds snapped up ball #43 which was determined to be the $10,000 ball! The contest was sponsored by Animal Specialties, DogWatch by Kriger Fence, IAM'S and Variety 97.7. The Cutters were not as lucky on the night, losing to Aberdeen 5-4. The contest was insured by Marketing ETC. of Duluth, GA.
