Luciano Acosta Named to the 2023 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge Roster

FC Cincinnati News Release
Today, Major League Soccer and Arsenal FC announced that FC Cincinnati midfielder Luciano Acosta would be on the roster for the 2023 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge, presented by AT&T 5G, on July 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Acosta and other MLS stars will take on Arsenal players in a series of five challenges at Audi Field in Washington D.C. on Tuesday night. Fans can watch for free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
The FC Cincinnati captain will participate in three events, the Touch challenge presented by Dawn, the Passing challenge presented by Bounty, and the Crossbar challenge presented by GilleteLabs.
Acosta will represent FC Cincinnati in the Skills Challenge for the first time in his career, having been named to the MLS All-Star roster for the second consecutive season on June 27. Acosta's recognition is his second-career MLS All-Star nod, when last season the Argentine - alongside Brandon Vazquez - became one of the first two players in FC Cincinnati history to be named to the All-Star roster. Acosta has scored nine goals and added six assists in 19 regular season appearances for the Orange and Blue this season.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has scored eight goals since May, second-most in MLS over that span behind only Nashville forward Hany Mukhtar (10). Acosta's four-game goal streak from May 31 to June 21 was tied for the longest in club history, and with a goal against Toronto FC on June 21, he became the eighth active player in MLS to reach 50 career goals and 50 career assists.
Acosta, alongside Álvaro Barreal and Matt Miazga, will lead the MLS All-Star team against Arsenal FC in the 2023 MLS All-Star Game on July 19 in Washington D.C.
