
Lowry Named Eastern Conference Finalist for Scholastic Player of the Year Award

Swift Current, SK - The Western Hockey League announced today that Bronco forward Adam Lowry has been named the Eastern Conference finalist for the Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Memorial Trophy - WHL Scholastic Player of the Year. Lowry will go head-to-head with Western Conference finalist Colin Smith of the Kamloops Blazers. The winner will be announced at the 2011 WHL Awards Luncheon in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, May 4th 2011.
The WHL Scholastic Player of the Year award is given to the top student/athlete in the WHL. If Lowry wins, this will be the second consecutive year he has been named the WHL Scholastic Player of the Year.
In 66 games played this past season, the 6'4", 184 pound Calgary, AB product ranked third on the team in assists (27) and tied for fourth in goals (18).
